Lenawee County May 3, 2016, Election Ballot Information County-wide Ballot ProposalTo fund 9-1-1 operations and pursuant to the Michigan Emergency Telephone Service Enabling Act and the Michigan Telecommunications Act, shall the County of Lenawee be authorized, beginning July 1, 2016 and continuing through June 30, 2021, to assess a monthly surcharge of up to 16%, (with all operational surcharges not to exceed $3.00 per month) of the lesser of $20.00 or the highest monthly flat rate for basic single-party telephone service within the geographic boundaries of Lenawee County, with the revenue thus generated to be distributed exclusively for the financing of equipment, facilities and all other operational costs of the Lenawee County 911 Emergency Telephone Answering and Dispatch System?
I don't think Lenawee county should pass the vote on the 911 issue May 3. The proposal is written in a confusing language that may be misinterpreted by the peoples proposing the charges.
also reasons being I'm a former news director at Q-95 I have radio experience qualifying me in the audio field. I've produced audio pieces That were featured on the smashing pumpkins.net.
I previously had a situation with deputy david borton in which he was trying to take my dog because someone had made a complaint i had hit him. David Borton threatened to take my dog and my 15 month old baby. I called 911 I held the phone up as the deputy charged at me with a baby in my arms "your going to have to talk to your sergeant." I told him. he attempted to smack my phone out of my hand. six days later I was arrested for assaulting an officer. Six days. I use a cool edit pro program to edit my audio and I thought I could foia the 911 call to prove this didn't happen the way it was written up in the police report.
when I get the 911 cd from the sheriff's it's been edited. my computer shows it has 16 possible edits made. Having radio experience I record a lot of my calls. I had a conversation with Ltnt Ewald he told me they don't even have the capability to change a 911 recording. I told him you guys are going to be on Nancy Grace by the time this is over. He laughs says it won't be the first time. Than he calls me back ten minutes later to "give me the heads up"" Something is wrong with the 911 recording"
that he didn't do it and don't see why anyone would have done it. I had two court appointed attorneys quit and refuse to represent me. I wrote Attorney General Bill Shutte and told him about my situation he responded by telling me to file a complaint with the sheriff. I took my complaint to the prosecuter he told me I couldn't say it had been altered. I wrote a complaint against the sheriff and it's 911 operations. Took it in to the office and told them to give me my dog back and I wouldn't file the complaint. I'm a dumb roofer since I got out of radio this dog and I have roofed 150 houses together. I've had him 13 years he's my good best friend. He's back to work with me since the sheriff gave him back. I put him on the cover of my "what colors humanity" book . available at Amazon.com thru kindle direct publishing. The book includes pieces I wrote about Lenawee county judge Laura Schaller and courts.
My first internship was with wlen I've sat with you in the studio Doug. I don't Think Lenawee county should be in charge of our 911 emergency dispatch system
