A Cinderella pumpkin story with no glass slipper
A sky with a million stars and no big dipper
a moon that lights the sky with no first star to wish on
a pumpkin carriage ride and no girl to kiss on
Reckless as it seems streaking across the sky
smashing all my dreams on a pumpkin carriage ride
wish on me while I burn in your face
kiss on me and try to learn to swallow and not taste
more like a comet than a shooting star
I wonder how long it takes to forget who you are!
