I know what a Miracle looks like!

The 1980’s were stupid in hindsight. I was a rocker Alice cooper, AC/DC, Ozzy Van Halen the list goes on and on. Lately I’ve had a mike and the mechanics song stuck in my head “all I need is a miracle” all I need is you. I’ve witnessed a miracle father’s day 2001 when Zoe Blyss was born. Bixby hospital staff had told us it was a false labor. They were giving Sarah something to help her sleep that in a little while they were sending us home. Julie Sarah mom told them they were wrong and reluctantly went home. I told Sarah I was afraid for her. That she was in all this pain and it’s false? It’s going to get worse? Waiting for them to release her I fell asleep in a chair next to her bed. I woke up to her saying “Babe I think my water just broke”. I got the nurses in there. They started checking things the babies on the way. Sarah wanted her epidural. It’s too late for that they told her Babies here. I called Julie and told her to come back to the hospital were having a baby. Fortunately there was a mid wife in the building because there was not time to call the doctor. We had taken lamas class. I was kind of prepared. I remember I was facing Sarah with one of her legs up on my shoulder and we were breathing together. I coached her through the instructions the mid wife was saying push and don’t push mostly. Grandma Julie grouching at the nurses “who’s not having a baby”. Sarah telling her mom “not now mom”. The mid wife failed to catch Zoe when she came out. Zoe landed on the bed I was looking to see if we had a boy or a girl Sarah was telling me don’t look don’t look. It’s a girl the mid wife said. Julie comes up to me grabs me by my shoulders you did it you delivered that girl. Zoe Bliss Clark born on father’s day 2001. I stayed at the hospital until I had to go to the radio station to do a remote broadcast with Ryan horn. It was a high energy show that morning. I’ve never witnessed a miracle but I sure know what one looks like.
