I've never saved a crying baby from a burning house fire nor have I over come my misfortunes in life to acquire a name for myself. I consider myself a writer although all I've written is only pieces of torn limbs of my distraught existence. (a bunch of poems)
I've been wrestling with the thought for weeks now. I liked working at Rossman construction but to many times on my way in to work I would get a text message "were taking today off". Then the same week rain moves in and I end up with a ten hour check. Then when you follow with a twenty nine hour week your approaching financial devastation. Now that it's written in front of me I wonder what took me ten weeks to quit? My dad died in January what-color-are-you-does-it-matter.html (i love you dad). It use to be on rain days I would go hang out with dad. He gives me advice or would give me advice i mean. Dad would have told me to quit this job weeks ago. I went and got another job on Wednesday so I have work lined up. I no dad would have told me that too. Dad I miss you!!!
When I got the job with Rossman construction it hurt me that I couldn't share with you the excitement of landing what seemed at the time to be a good job. worked me right into a hole.
It's Friday it's 9 a.m That new job is waiting for me. Sparky don't have to stay home now this new builder don't care if I bring my dog to work. Pays more I can work weekends. I know I should go start the new job. but i know if dad was alive and I went to his house and told him "I finally quit my job"
I write in these 99 cent composition books. I bet I have a pile three feet high. When you turn the pages you see page after page of poems. The ink changes color from sentence to sentence or sometimes a verse is in pencil because it's compiled from what I see as I continue day to day. Even though it has spelling errors and poor punctuation one must admire how hard I continue to work. Especially when you come across the pages I've used to bid a roof job. That's what I do for money to live. I roof houses. Stuck between some politically motivated poem is a plea to the world to slow down for a minute...... Step back and breath.... Before it's too late... for all Humanity!
I was a news director at Q95 country during the 2000 election Bush Gore race.
There was controversy after the election. Gore was demanding a recount. There wasn't Russian interference accusations it was a questions to the peoples choice. After those jets hit the world trade center Al Gore didn't want to be President any more. Whats going on today is much the same...
Only worse.... With these wars being waged. We'll forget about health care. Our perception has changed.
My quietness is un sureness

About your trillion dollar budget plan. Keep in mind I've never claimed to be smart. What I know I've learned at the school of hard knocks. I see budget cuts from several angels that concern me.
The Great Lakes initiative for example. Maybe President Trump has seen documents showing a waste in the 300 million dollar budget. There are eight states that share the great lakes along with two Canadian provinces. Mr Trump was recently in Michigan Does he not know about the Flint water crisis? Our Great lakes have had history made in battles of wooden ships. Now their wooden skeletons deteriorating on the bottom. Those were kinder environmental days. Now the industries on the river banks "accidentally"spill into the water ways. Along with are sewer plants.. Now the rivers water can't be treated "just by the paper work of the city council". And the water compiles and eventually reaches the Great Lakes shores.... Open to all pollutants. Eight states fresh water supply. Mr President for starters people can't be trusted. Our water ways must be monitored so millions of people can be environmentally safe.
300 million dollars when you consider eight states not to mention two Canadian provinces is a small amount for the amount of people affected.. I would imagine a few people would be out of work.
The Canadians Might well be our best neighboring country. Isn't it in good conscious that we collaborate with them At keeping our Lakes Great? since you can't just build a wall.
Oh and about the wall it appears to me that WIC and other programs like Meals on wheels and the Great Lakes initiative are footing the bill for building that southern wall. Remember I'm just a dumb roofer and maybe things look different from up here. But if you cancel funding for all these programs then they simply don't exist? Well then the people who work at the department of human services and the community action agency they don't have jobs any more? So now they don't have jobs do they become the new poor until your four years are over #Mr President...
